Our Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Way 2 Africa Expeditions. By booking a safari, mountain climb, or photographic tour with us, you are about to embark on a journey through Tanzania’s most extraordinary landscapes, wildlife habitats, and cultural experiences. We are committed to providing safe, responsible, and professionally managed travel. These Terms and Conditions outline the responsibilities, rights, and obligations of both our travelers and our company. By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms. We encourage all guests to review this document carefully before completing any reservations.

 

Reservations

All bookings with Way 2 Africa Expeditions require a signed travel agreement, which can be completed electronically. This agreement applies to all participants included in the reservation. The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring all participants comply with the terms. Once the agreement is accepted, a confirmation will be sent via email.

 

Payments

  • A deposit of 50% of the total tour price is required within 14 days of booking.
  • The remaining balance must be paid no later than 65 days prior to departure.
  • Bookings made within 65 days of departure require full payment at the time of reservation.
  • Failure to meet payment deadlines may result in cancellation, and deposits may be non-refundable.

 

Price and Service Adjustments

While we strive to maintain advertised prices and services, Way 2 Africa Expeditions reserves the right to adjust prices in response to changes in park fees, taxes, fuel costs, or other unavoidable expenses. Any adjustments will be communicated promptly. Essential service changes may occur up to 14 days before departure.

 

Medical Conditions and Special Needs

Travelers must disclose in writing any medical conditions, allergies, or disabilities that could affect participation. We reserve the right to decline or cancel bookings if we cannot safely accommodate specific needs. Your safety, comfort, and enjoyment are our top priorities.

 

Documentation Accuracy

All travel documents, itineraries, and confirmations should be reviewed immediately upon receipt. Any discrepancies must be reported to Way 2 Africa Expeditions within 14 days. Failure to report may result in additional costs, which will be the responsibility of the traveler unless the error originated from our team.

 

Cancellation by the Traveler

Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Our policy is as follows:

  • 65–50 days before departure: 50% of total tour cost is non-refundable
  • 50–0 days before departure: 100% of total tour cost is non-refundable

Deposits for accommodations, flights, or special activities are non-refundable. No-shows or partially used services are non-refundable and handled case by case.

 

Cancellation by Way 2 Africa Expeditions

We reserve the right to cancel a tour under the following circumstances:

  • If a participant significantly disrupts the tour; no refund will be issued.
  • If the minimum number of participants is not met 60 days prior to departure, we will notify you and refund any deposits.

 

Liability

While we ensure professional planning and reliable service, Way 2 Africa Expeditions is not liable for services provided by third parties, including airlines, local transport, or service providers. Travelers are responsible for:

  • Adhering to local laws and regulations
  • Holding valid travel documents
  • Obtaining comprehensive travel insurance

 

Adventure and Outdoor Risks

Safari, photographic, and mountain climbing experiences involve inherent natural risks, including:

  • Encounters with wildlife
  • Uneven, rugged, or remote terrain
  • Variable weather conditions
  • Adventure activities such as trekking, boating, or guided walks

Participants acknowledge these risks and accept responsibility for their personal safety. Adequate preparation, including travel medicine, first aid, and awareness of high-altitude conditions, is strongly recommended.

 

Participant Responsibilities

Travelers are expected to:

  • Follow all instructions from guides and staff
  • Respect property, equipment, wildlife habitats, and local communities
  • Report concerns or complaints promptly

Detailed safety procedures, emergency contacts, and local partner information will be provided. Participants must report discrepancies immediately.

 

Photography-Specific Considerations

As a photography-focused operator, we emphasize:

  • Respecting wildlife and maintaining safe distances
  • Avoiding disturbance to natural behaviors or nesting sites
  • Following guide instructions for safe and optimal photographic opportunities
